When Swedes get together

There is a curious difference in how Swedes congregate, depending on the location.

A assembly hall is filled from behind and forward. That is; they start with the back row in a theatre or meeting room. As it may not get completely full, there will be a vacant space of a sometimes significant size next to the podium.

In a tour bus, Swedes would always fill it from the front seat, and back. One row after the other.

When Swedes go to a restaurant or eatery, it is the tables along the outer periphery that is getting occupied at first. Swedes are extremly reluctant to sit in the middle. They feel safer along the outskirts.
